Last updated: September 17, 2026
CompFlorida, Inc. (“CompFlorida,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit compfl.com, request services, communicate with us, or use our managed IT, cybersecurity, telecommunications, support, consulting, and related services.
1. Scope and our role
This Policy applies to information CompFlorida handles for its own business purposes. When we process information on behalf of a client under a services agreement, the client generally controls that information and we act as a service provider or processor. Client instructions and the applicable agreement govern that processing.
2. Information we collect
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:
- Contact and business information, such as name, company, job title, email address, telephone number, service location, and preferred contact method.
- Inquiry, proposal, account, project, ticket, scheduling, billing, and customer-support information.
- Technical and managed-service information, including device identifiers, configuration, operating-system details, network and security events, logs, performance data, software inventory, remote-support session data, backup status, and diagnostic information.
- Communications, including email, telephone, chat, form submissions, text messages, and related consent or opt-out records.
- Website and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device data, pages viewed, referring URLs, cookie identifiers, and interaction data.
- Content you provide and information derived from the above for security, fraud prevention, service improvement, analytics, and business operations.
We may receive information directly from you, from your organization, through devices and services we manage, automatically through our website and systems, and from service providers, technology partners, public sources, and referral partners.
3. How we use information
We may use information to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our services; respond to inquiries and support requests; schedule appointments; prepare proposals and agreements; manage accounts, billing, and vendor coordination; monitor systems and detect threats; communicate service, security, and business updates; personalize website experiences; measure performance; comply with law; enforce agreements; and protect CompFlorida, our clients, users, and the public.
4. Managed IT, remote support, and cybersecurity
Our services may require authorized software agents, remote access, monitoring, logging, automation, backup, email, telecommunications, security, and help-desk tools on client systems. These tools may collect and transmit technical data necessary to deliver and secure services. Access is limited to legitimate service, security, support, compliance, and operational purposes, subject to client authorization and applicable agreements.
5. Artificial intelligence and automation
We may use artificial intelligence and automated tools to assist with content creation, communications, transcription, image generation, analysis, support workflows, cybersecurity, and internal operations. Outputs may be reviewed by people where appropriate. Do not submit confidential, regulated, or sensitive information to a public-facing AI feature unless we expressly instruct you to do so through an approved secure process. We remain responsible for using these tools in accordance with applicable law and our contractual obligations.
Service communications
6. SMS Privacy and communications
If you provide a telephone number and consent to receive calls or text messages, we may contact you regarding inquiries, appointments, proposals, service delivery, support tickets, security notices, account matters, failover events, outages, restorations, and other relationship-related communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages and HELP for help, or contact us using the information below. We may retain consent and opt-out records as required by law.
No mobile information will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories in this Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties.
We may use contracted communications service providers solely to transmit messages and operate the communication service on our behalf. They may process mobile information only as necessary to provide that service and may not use it for their own marketing, promotion, or sale. We retain consent, opt-out, and communication records as reasonably necessary to document compliance and honor user choices.
Other communications privacy. We do not sell or rent email addresses, telephone numbers, support communications, call records, chat records, or form-submission information. We do not disclose that information to unrelated parties for their independent marketing. Limited processing by contracted service providers may occur only to deliver, secure, support, document, or administer the communication or service requested, subject to applicable contractual and legal restrictions.
7. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to contracted service providers, subcontractors, professional advisers, and technology vendors that support hosting, cloud services, email, communications, scheduling, billing, analytics, managed IT, remote monitoring, cybersecurity, backup, help desk, and business operations. We select and change providers as our services and risk requirements evolve, so this Policy does not depend on any named provider or specific technology. These parties may process information only for authorized purposes and are subject to applicable confidentiality, security, contractual, and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when required by law; to respond to lawful process; to protect rights, safety, systems, or property; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; or with your direction or consent. We do not sell or rent personal information for monetary consideration. We do not disclose personal information to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing or promotional purposes unless you separately direct or expressly authorize us to do so.
8. Cookies, analytics, and third-party services
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, preferences, security, analytics, and marketing measurement. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, although some features may not work properly. Links or integrations operated by third parties are governed by those parties’ own privacy notices, and we encourage you to review them.
9. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal requirements, and protecting systems. Retention periods vary by information type, client instructions, contractual commitments, and legal obligations.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, our role, and the services involved. These measures may include access controls, authentication, monitoring, logging, encryption where appropriate, incident response, vendor oversight, and personnel procedures. If we determine that a security incident requires notice under applicable law or contract, we will provide the required notice to affected parties or authorities. No system, transmission, vendor, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security or prevent every unauthorized act.
