Why “the map says it's available” isn't enough
The FCC National Broadband Map shows service by building location, but the data is reported by providers and the FCC itself notes it may be inaccurate, which is why a challenge process exists. Critics have also pointed out that the map shows no pricing, lists providers under holding-company names rather than the brands on your bill, and marks some buildings gray as likely to use commercial-grade service. For a business, the reliable answer comes from a serviceability check on your exact suite.
